Helping hospitals
increase nurse retention

See how OpusVi is leveraging a Salesforce-powered dashboard to boost nursing retention to unprecedented levels nationwide.

Human Need

Healthcare is facing critical nursing shortages and attrition among nurses at every level. To improve new graduate nurse retention, OpusVi, a leading workforce development solutions provider, teamed up with CommonSpirit Health – the second-largest nonprofit hospital system in the US – to deliver and optimize a system-wide nurse residency program.

Digital Solution

To support OpusVi and CommonSpirit Health, Robots & Pencils developed a Salesforce dashboard that helps administrators track, evaluate, and deliver meaningful outcomes for new graduate nurses.

The dashboard features a proprietary activity score for programs, staff, and learners that acts as a high-level performance indicator. Administrators and leaders can also easily dig into staff engagement levels, program progress, completion rates, resident activity, and more.

At OpusVi, we build healthcare workforce development solutions aimed at increasing retention, reducing costs and inefficiencies, improving continuity and quality of care, and promoting employee wellbeing.

We recognize the critical role nurses play in our healthcare systems. Through our collaboration with Robots & Pencils, we are dedicated to harnessing the power of technology to meet the unique needs of this deserving audience. It brings me great joy to see the impact our solution has had on retaining new nurses in the workforce, helping them develop competence and confidence as they pursue the important goal of becoming a nurse.

Our in-demand workforce development programs are designed not just to integrate seamlessly with system-wide healthcare initiatives, but also to drive meaningful change, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of nursing practices across the board.

A Far Better Way

This data-rich dashboard gives program administrators and stakeholders unique visibility into a new graduate nurse’s transition into practice–and offers unprecedented opportunities to identify and analyze strategies for improving learner experiences and retention.

Systems and stakeholders use this data to provide real-time remediation and support when a new graduate nurse experiences difficulty or workplace factors that could negatively impact their performance. Supported by this dashboard, the OpusVi Nurse Residency, Preceptorship and Mentorship Program has helped its partner systems increase, on average, new graduate nurse retention to 94%.
